Job Tasks and Responsibilities
The CHPP Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for the safe and effective leadership and mentoring of the Electrical maintenance team. Ensuring the establishment of positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and safeguarding commitment to the core business values of improving safety toward the achievement of zero harm, optimising profitability and assisting to develop a disciplined, constructive and engaged team to enable the delivery of the safest, lowest cost coal possible.
Reporting to the CHPP Manager, you will be required to:
1. Pro-actively lead a diversified Maintenance team responsible for the delivery of of planned and unplanned electrical activities;
2. Assist the CHPP Manager to coordinate all CHPP electrical activities and ensure they comply to industry safety standards.
3. Lead the electrical planning and scheduling within the CHPP.
4. Monitor and provide feedback on electrical performance of the CHPP.
5. Provide strategic direction to optimize efficiency, availability and reliability of the CHPP.
6. Assist in the development of operating and capital budgets.
7. Monitor and control costs and ensure adherence to budget.
8. Identify, assess and reduce safety and environmental risks onsite.
9. Audit, analyse and report on performance to internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria:
10. Experience leading a large team within a complex CHPP environment.
11. Electrical Engineering qualification.
12. Demonstrated experience managing multiple conflicting priorities and strong decision-making skills.
13. Experience and drive to mentor a team with diverse skills and experience to deliver outstanding results.
14. A genuine desire to lead a team which is responsive to change and consistently delivers great results.
15. Statutory ticket is desirable.
