Your Role:As a Staff Specialist, you will deliver high-quality inpatient and community mental health services. Key responsibilities include:Inpatient Services at the Mater Mental Health Centre in Waratah and Maitland Hospital. Community Services across various sites, including Newcastle, Charlestown and Maitland. Our teams are composed of dedicated and experienced professionals, including consultants, registrars, medical officers, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and administrative staff. Consultants are expected to provide support and cross-cover for their peers as needed across the Hunter New England Mental Health Service. The ideal candidate will possess:Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and Specialist Registration with AHPRA. Overseas trained specialists are also encouraged to apply. Candidates within 6 months of achieving fellowship are welcome.
