The Position An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced and motivated Machine Operator to join our team based at our Chinderah Factory. Responsibilities will include: Loading of new coils on the de-coiler when required. Ensuring finished product is loaded onto trolleys in a methodical order. Resets, adjusts, and corrects machine set up to reduce thickness and eliminate product defects. Ensuring product produced is of high quality and within required qualification. Ensure roll form machine and area is kept tidy. Ensure daily product inspections are completed. Ensure daily audits (calibration checks) are completed. Monitor and report any abnormal machine operation and/or maintenance. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and assist maintenance as required. Maintenance reports are completed in a timely manner to avoid breakdowns. Complete daily production sheets. Monitor machine cycles and operation to ensure fabricated products conform to specifications. The successful candidate will have: Demonstrated experience in roll forming (desirable). Familiarity with the steel framing industry (desirable). Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks. Ability to work independently, as well as contribute as a team member. Excellent punctuality and attendance. Current driver's license and reliable transport.
