Job Summary
:
In this role you will supervise schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities for small to medium size projects. You will also support project organizational and administrative activities and supervise the development and integration of individual schedules into the total project plan. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.
This role will be FIFO to Karratha on a 2:1 roster.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Provides comments and recommendations for planning and scheduling requirements relative to staffing and project control.
2. Reviews design scope criteria and quantities for completeness and reasonableness.
3. Conducts personnel performance reviews when delegated.
4. Performs and/or coordinates, collects, verifies, and integrates the work scope for all entities into the total project plan.
5. Establishes milestones for the total project or major portions of the project.
6. Provides supervision and assistance to planners in the development and integration of individual schedules into the total project plan.
7. Responsible for preparing and presenting the Schedule Impact Report.
Education and Experience Requirements:
8. Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
9. Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office.
10. Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical personnel.
11. Skilled in oral and written communication.
12. Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications. Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications currently used in Bechtel (Primavera and Microsoft Office Applications, for example).
13. Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
14. Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
