About the Role
The Hospital Key Account Manager will play a key role in promoting one of Australia's leading pathology providers. You will be working closely with key stakeholders in hospitals within your allocated territory, developing strong relationships, monitoring performance, responding to queries, and helping develop and execute territory business plans to achieve commercial revenue targets.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing key clients, including C-Suite Executives, hospital administrators, procurement officers, and department heads.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing hospital needs and concerns effectively across the territory either face-to-face or virtually via Teams.
* Lead and manage multiple projects across the territory with a strong customer service mindset.
* Create and implement account strategies tailored to the specific needs and goals of each key client.
* Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with existing and new accounts.
* Monitor and manage contract performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise via Salesforce CRM on a daily basis.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of promotional materials and services aligning with clients' needs.
* Gather intelligence of the target market and provide insights on market changes.
* Work collaboratively with the local team to achieve shared goals by sharing knowledge, experience, and insights.
* Attend national and state-based conferences as required.
Requirements:
* Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in Science, Healthcare or Business with specialist sales experience.
* Solid experience in a similar role promoting services rather than products.
* Solid commercial and strategic acumen.
* Ability to develop deep insights, uncover market gaps, drive innovation, collaborate and lead.
* Strong analytical negotiation skills and creative problem-solving skills to manage revenue and budget initiatives.
* Creating and seizing opportunities to expand into new markets.
* Established relationships with hospital KOL's in Victoria and Western Australia.
