About the Company
A leader in the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects within the energy sector. They are currently overseeing a significant transmission network project, integrating wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) into the National Electricity Market (NEM).
Your New Role
You will join a team of world-class power system engineers paving the way for a refreshed approach to transmission planning and delivery. Working within a team that is focused on solving challenging problems, you will play a key role in conducting power system network and/or power quality studies to facilitate the seamless integration of renewable energy projects into the NEM.
Key Responsibilities
* Integrating and assessing dynamic generator or synchronous machine models in PSS/E or PSCAD.
* Undertaking power quality studies in Power Factory, as well as preparing and presenting outcomes and analysis.
* Conducting power system studies, analysing results, and preparing technical reports.
* Identifying and troubleshooting issues within network models and software.
* Evaluating generator compliance with performance standards and providing recommendations.
* Collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality analyses and reports.
Your Skillset
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or higher), majoring in power and control.
* Circa 3+ years' experience of power system operations, design, planning, or connections experience.
* Experience with PSS/E, PSCAD, Power Factory, and/or MATLAB.
* Strong understanding of generator performance standards and compliance assessment.
* Proficiency in technical report writing and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
