TEACHING ASSISTANT – EDUCATION SUPPORT CENTRE
Teaching Assistants support the classroom teachers to provide for the physical, intellectual, social, religious, and emotional development of all students. They support the classroom teacher to facilitate the access, participation, and learning outcomes of students with additional needs. They provide valuable support in the implementation of programs in the classroom/College, as directed by College Leadership and teachers.
Assistance may vary from general class support, to working with individual students for a specified time or activity, to working with small groups of students for specific activities.
The role requires work in various settings within and outside the College to support the students in their learning. Examples include but are not limited to Workplace Learning, TAFE, Excursions, and Camps.
