The RBA and Investor reporting role (Data Services) sits within Perpetual Corporate Trust’s innovation company, Perpetual Digital. Perpetual Digital is responsible for the design and build of software products, platform services and infrastructure across a variety of cloud technologies supporting the banking and finance industry. Perpetual Digital leverages more than 20 years of experience and a market leading position in Australian securitisation to deliver solutions to this sector.
Perpetual Digital supports client regulatory reporting, data analytics and delivers custom applications to meet the needs of both internal and external clients. In the role of Data Consultant, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate and responsive client support for both the Reserve Bank of Australia “RBA” repo-eligibility and the Investor reporting services. The role’s mission is to enable the team to meet its goals and objectives through pro-actively completing day to day data processing services, ad hoc tasks and project related deliverables, ensuring all client SLAs are met and high NPS scores are maintained.
About the role
As an Data Consultant at Perpetual Digital you will:
4. Provide support for clients to meet their Reserve Bank of Australia repo-eligibility reporting requirements
5. Respond to Investor enquiries and market data requests
6. troubleshoot and resolve data and system related items with appropriate parties
7. Act as liaison with the RBA, Investors, Rating Agencies and other third parties regarding data
8. Maintain correct and current information in related systems
9. Maintain and apply correct change management controls
10. Complete IT testing and provide project support as required
11. Onboard new RBA reporting clients including assistance with data mapping and data distribution
12. Ensure all client data is processed in accordance with the data governance templates, including timely troubleshooting where problems arise
13. Provide timely support to clients where system related problems arise
14. Actively manage multiple client service outlook inboxes and keep track of items requiring resolution
15. Build and maintain client relationships with all client stakeholders (annual Net Promoter Survey)
16. Maintain systems, accurate and current data
17. Liaise with IT partners to troubleshoot and test IT related items and develop new system functionality
18. Act as liaison between clients, the RBA, Investors and Bloomberg as and when required
19. Complete monthly investor reporting using data extraction and conversion tools
20. Assist the Senior Data Consultant in delivering key projects and objectives
21. Invoicing clients
22. Risk Management – Maintain accurate record keeping as required for the annual ASAE3150 controls audit.
About you
23. Experience with data/numbers and high attention to detail
24. Ability to work independently, proactively and prioritise time and tasks effectively
25. Effective Problem Solver
26. Strong communication and client relationship management skills
27. Proficient in Excel
28. Familiarity with SQL, ETL Tools and XML (a plus)
29. Understanding financial markets instruments, such as debt markets and securitisation (a plus).
