Job Title: Water Planning EngineersWe are seeking two experienced Water Planning Engineers to join our team in the Engineering and Regional Utilities Department.About the RoleThe successful candidates will be responsible for managing and operating the regional water system that serves Abbotsford and Mission, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery of safe drinking water at a reasonable cost.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the development of master plans to accommodate community growth and development.Support the implementation of asset management plans for existing critical infrastructure.Prepare emergency response plans.Provide technical support to operations staff.This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who have experience working with utility-specific programs and projects, and are committed to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must be a registered professional engineer or engineer-in-training (EIT) or have the ability to become a registered professional engineer or EIT in British Columbia.You should possess strong written and oral communication skills, be well organized, self-motivated, and work effectively as part of a team.The ideal candidate will also have:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline.Sound technical knowledge of drinking water supply principles and practice.Strong written and oral communication skills.Experience in capital planning and budgeting.Experience with management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, HACCP).Membership or eligibility for immediate membership as a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer in Training (EIT) with Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC).At least five (5) years of experience as a P.
