Are you looking for the next step in your leadership career? This role will be involved with the Allied Health and Community directorate to participate, support and facilitate professional development and supervision.
The Psychologist is responsible for providing assessment and intervention for individuals supported by the Samaritans Therapy and Behaviour Support Team (TaBS), including people with disability. This position will focus on building the capacity, skills and knowledge of the person, their families, and supporting services.
* Permanent part time (we can also consider up to full time)
* Based in Newcastle or Central Coast.
* Our service delivery is across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and Central Coast.

About you:
* Current AHPRA Registered Psychologist
* Experience in pediatric psychological assessment and therapy, with a focus on supporting NDIS Participants and diagnostic assessments for children 0 -16 years
* Understanding of the current trends and approaches underpinning the provision of early intervention services to children 0-8 years with a disability.
* Experience working with Adults as a Psychologist and supporting individuals living with a disability in a range of settings.
* Demonstrated history of trauma.
* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development & implementing evidence in practice.
* Ability to effectively communicate recommended intervention strategies with a range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality principles and WHS responsibilities
* Knowledge of diverse cultures and community needs
