Hours of Work – Full time, rotating roster (day & night shift available)
Salary - $75,000 to $85,000

In order to maintain our exceptional product standards, we are looking for a fully Qualified Baker, who has a strong background with hand moulding/mixing. You will be part of the team responsible for the preparation and baking of our traditional European & Artisan style breads.
As a Laurent Baker, you have the opportunity to work with a team of qualified bakers to enhance your skills with working on the creation of our famous artisan bread, exquisite pastries and much more. The ideal candidate will:
* Have at least 2 years’ experience as a Qualified Baker
* Experience with making European & Artisan style breads is highly preferable.
* Able to work on rotating rosters.
* Possess a love of baking
* Be willing to learn and excel in your profession
* Be comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment
* Have some knowledge of HACCP quality systems and be quality focused
* Ideally have experience machine operating
The position's main responsibilities and duties will involve:
* Measure and mix bread dough to product recipes
* Mould doughs into various bread styles (loaves, rolls, baguettes, sandwich etc)
* Prove breads
* Bake off breads as per production plan and product specifications.
* Display the ability to work on all Bakery Equipment and perform all processes depending on bread type
* Monitoring of ovens and other machinery
* Monitor quality of raw ingredients, mixes and doughs & take corrective action if required
* Monitor product quality through moulding, proving and baking stages of production & take corrective action if required
* Monitor quality of finished bread products to ensure they meet standard specifications
* Follow procedures to ensure that food safety standards are maintained
* Work collaboratively with other bakers and kitchen staff to meet production targets.
* Train and mentor junior bakers or apprentices as needed.
