About The Opportunity
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Career Medical Officers to join our team and help develop the Anaesthetic Department at Bowral and District Hospital. As a CMO, you will provide high-quality anaesthetic care, collaborate with a supportive team, and contribute to the growth of the department. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and participate in ongoing professional development.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
2. Assist in the provision of the Anaesthetics Department at Fairfield Hospital through medical management, clinical direction to and collaboration with other Anaesthetics and facility staff, as well as clinical care for Anaesthetics.
3. Provide supervised perioperative and anaesthetic care to patients in the operating theatres, designated sedation/procedure areas, anaesthetic clinic, and anaesthetic consultation service.

Bowral & District Hospital is a new state of the art hospital - opened in December 2020, with level 3 acute bed facility which provides a wide range of services including 24 hour Emergency Department, 2 Operating Theatres plus a Procedures room, Day Surgery, Endoscopy, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Critical and Coronary Care, Maternity & Paediatrics.

* MBBS or equivalent, current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Minimum 3 years Anaesthesia experience and previous experience in the critical disciplines of Intensive Care, Anaesthetic or Emergency Medicine.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment.
* Demonstrated excellent clinical skills, clinical judgement and clinical expertise.
* Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting and in a multidisciplinary health care team.
* Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/continuing professional development.
