We're seeking someone to step into an Motor Fleet Underwriter role, based in our Melbourne office. Themercial division is Allianz Australia's largest distribution channel whose customers include local, national and international brokers, and buying groups throughout Australia.
This role will report into the Motor Fleet Underwriting Manager and play a key role in developing best in market relationships with the brokerages in the state. You could being from a broker, relationship manager, claims or underwriter background.
You'll be responsible for:
4. Underwriting motor fleet insurance risks, adhering to underwriting guidelines and standards,
5. Providing quotations for renewals and manage ongoing endorsements as well as assisting in rating of new business as requested.
6. Working effectively within the underwriting team and development staff to convert quality business to achieve profitable growth.
7. Monitoring performance to ensure key financial indicators are achieved, namely GWP and Profit measures.
8. Ensure business offering is aligned with divisional objectives, portfolio balance and Cycle Management strategies (growth and profit).
9. Keep abreast of market conditions and trends and maintain a market presence in their region and LoBmunity within Allianz. Provide feedback to stakeholders and take action to capitalise on business opportunities.
Important to your success:
10. Prior experience within Claims/Dispute Resolution/Underwriting/ Account Management within the Insurance industry is highly desired.
11. .Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to both build relationships and influence at all levels
12. A strategic thinker with an ability to analyseplex information, extract meaningful insights and implement credible solutions.
13. Enthusiastic team player with ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base.
14. A curious nature and a customer service mindset with good phone manner/skills.
15. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills
