Driven by increasing demand for cloud services, digital transformation, and a strong focus on sustainability, our Victorian team is expanding and looking to take on an experienced Telecommunications Supervisor on a full-time, permanent basis.
As a leader to a small team, you will supervise multiple projects, motivate the site workforce, and foster a learning culture by mentoring technicians and apprentices, providing clear communication and effective work instructions throughout.
You will also contribute to project planning and execution, including developing and managing schedules, controlling materials, and helping to forecast labour requirements.
With a focus on safety, you will ensure compliance with all WHS and Quality Assurance standards and be responsible for making sure technicians and apprentices understand their roles, delivering excellence and the highest quality service.
Additionally, you'll lead customer communication, maintain site documentation and ensure timely submission of key paperwork, such as timesheets and invoices.
About You
You will:
Have strong leadership skills, with a preference for those with previous experience as a Supervisor or Leading Hand.
Hold a current ACMA cabling licence and/or VIC electrical licence with endorsements in structured and fibre optics, as well your White Card.
Bring expertise in technical telecommunications, specialising in cabling, fit outs and advanced fibre optic installations.
Be confident in working with servers, networking equipment, routers, switches, cooling units and WiFi.
Experience in cable patching would be highly regarded.
Have access to a reliable work vehicle (appropriate for carrying tools and supplies from one site to another, across the Melbourne metro area).
Be willing to be a part of an on-call roster.
Be eligible to obtain your baseline/NV1 security clearance.
