What's Involved?
As a Youth Worker in our Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) team, you'll support young people with medium to high needs. You will supervise, support, and provide trauma-informed care in our ITC settings. You'll ensure their safety, well-being, and development by building caring relationships and promoting self-esteem, health, and life skills. From transporting young people to school and appointments to completing shift reports and mandatory incident reports, your role will be diverse and impactful.
What's Needed?
* Cert IV in Youth Work or successful completion of first-year degree studies in a relevant tertiary qualification. A Diploma in Community Services is highly desirable.
* At least 3 years of practical experience working with children/young people in a community service setting.
* Strong teamwork, self-regulation in stressful situations, mentoring abilities, and excellent communication skills.
* A valid driver's licence.
* A current Working With Children clearance through the Office of the Children's Guardian (NSW).
