Salary: $151,765 – $197,842 (inclusive of 11.5% superannuation)

The Role: Law & Justice Manager
As Law & Justice Manager, you will lead a dynamic team driving innovative and culturally strengthening justice projects that work alongside NAAJA’s criminal and civil law sections. You will be at the forefront of policy advocacy, strategic planning, and community legal education that shape justice outcomes for Indigenous communities.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Lead and manage law and justice projects, aligning them with NAAJA’s strategic vision
2. Supervise a dedicated team of legal and non-legal professionals
3. Oversee budget planning, funding, and strategic financial management
4. Represent NAAJA at NT and Commonwealth forums, advocating for Indigenous justice issues
5. Drive legal education initiatives that empower communities
What We’re Looking For
1. Tertiary qualifications in law (or equivalent) with significant experience
2. Proven leadership and team management skills in a legal or justice setting
3. Deep commitment to Aboriginal justice and understanding of NT’s legal system
4. Strong project management, financial administration, and strategic planning abilities
5. Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from Indigenous communities to government
Requirements
1. Ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
2. Satisfactory criminal history check
