This is the opportunity you've been waiting for!Darrell Lea is recruiting an experienced and motivated individual to join our Team as a Production Shift Manager on the Afternoon shift at our Rowville manufacturing facility.No day is the same at Darrell Lea, so be prepared to be on the go.Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this key role is responsible for providing strong leadership and ensuring that production occurs in the safest, most efficient, and cost-effective manner.This role is permanent, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm to 12 am.About the roleThe Production Shift Manager will work with relevant teams for the successful delivery of the production and maintenance schedule, ensuring that safety, quality, and people outcomes are delivered with the company values embedded into daily operations.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure workplace health and safety is at the forefront of operations.Motivate and develop team members by providing opportunities, clear expectations, and constructive feedback.Lead by example and continually reinforce company policies and procedures.Maintain and improve quality, food safety, and hygiene within the area of responsibility and take corrective action in response to non-compliance.Ensure that production targets are met by leading and supporting the production team.Monitor and report on KPIs.Review and report working hours of the production team.About YouThe successful applicant requires: A minimum of 3 years previous production leadership experience, ideally within an FMCG/Food or Beverage manufacturing environment.In-depth knowledge of production processes, ideally within an FMCG/Food or Beverage manufacturing environment.Sound understanding of WHS and Quality.Experience leading cross-functional teams.In addition, it's essential that you have the following: Proven ability to lead a team where people and safety are balanced with meeting production targets.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work in a hands-on environment.Sense of urgency, deadline-driven with exceptional organisational skills.Ability to lead change and promote a culture of continuous improvement.Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.Intermediate level computer skills, including use of MS Office suite.We love our diverse workforce, so it's essential that applicants have good communication skills and embrace the Darrell Lea way, "Makes it Better."It's not just a slogan; it represents the energy and optimism our people bring to work every day.All applicants must have full working rights in Australia.Our site is located just off Wellington Road with staff parking onsite.We also offer generous discounts on all the best treats.Additionally, we are committed to ongoing training and development to help you achieve the very best in your new role.Posted Date: 24 Sep 2024Location: Rowville, VIC, AustraliaIndustry: Procurement, Manufacturing & Transport #J-18808-Ljbffr
