Our Rescue & Fire Fighting (RFF) services currently extend from stations in WA, SA, VIC, NSW and QLD. Due to the evolving nature of this contract, we are currently employing a Firefighter in our Urban Fire and Rescue operations at Woomera.
The Role:
All positions will require the successful applicants to work a 7 on / 7 off roster with an average of 38.5 hours per week.
The successful Fire-Fighter will respond to incidents as required and perform duties as directed by the Station Officer, Sub-Station Officer and Leading Firefighter.
Please note this is not a Fly-in, Fly-out role. You must be willing to relocate to the local area. We will consider applicants who may want to drive-in, drive-out from other South Australian localities.
You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance to Apply.
Skills and Experience:
The following minimum qualifications are required:
1. PUA20613 Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) and incorporate the following Units of Competency.

4. PUAFIR207B Operate Breathing Apparatus (Open Circuit)
5. PUAEQU001B Prepare, Maintain and test Response Equipment

7. PUAOPE002B Operate Communication Systems and Equipment
8. HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
9. PUASAR022A Participate in a rescue operation
10. PUATEA002B Work Autonomously
11. PUACOM001C Communicate in the Workplace
12. PUAFIR204B Respond to Wildfire
13. PUALAW001B Protect and Preserve Incident Scene
14. HLTAID003 Provide first aid

17. PUAOHS002B Maintain Safety at an Incident
18. Hold a current HR drivers licence
19. Highly desirable to hold or have the ability to obtain Cert II in Emergency Medical First Response (Ambulance)
