Jetstar Engineering: A team that takes off together We rely on our engineers to deliver our superior safety standards, up to the second.They're the trouble-shooters, glitch-fixers and tech-experts who make sure we take to the sky safely.Helping our teammates soar is what we're all about, and with a new fleet of state-of-the-art aircraft, plus new routes being added, the sky's the limit.As our new Maintenance Programs Manager, you will be responsible for a team of Maintenance Program Engineers, to ensure the ongoing management of the approved Maintenance Program for the Jetstar and customer fleets, to deliver to industry benchmark reliability, at the lowest operating cost. Reporting to the Fleet Programs Manager, key responsibilities include: Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and actively manage all fleet safety threats.Provide leadership to Maintenance Program Engineer and manage individual development.Process improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement initiatives The review and resolution of fleet maintenance program issues including investigations.Ensuring the Approved Maintenance Program remains 100% compliant with applicable regulations.Ensuring the Approved Maintenance Program is implemented and maintained with 100% accuracy into TRAX. Reviewing reliability reports, maintenance deferrals and scheduled maintenance findings to ensure effectiveness of the AMP.Providing Fleet Technical Management for Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan, Network Aviation and Express Freighters Australia Minimising scheduled and unscheduled maintenance by escalating/optimizing tasks where possible to optimize fleet performance.Other critical focus areas will be maintaining the highest levels of operational performance and ensuring compliance with all National Airworthiness Authority regulatory requirements.To excel in this role, you will have a desire to develop and manage aircraft maintenance programs.Your ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders will be of the highest standard.Ready for your next adventure? To succeed in this role we are seeking the following skills and experience: Experience managing Aircraft Maintenance Programs, including end of lease and entry into service activity Have sound knowledge of CASA regulations particularly Part 42 and Part 145 Analytical ability using IT platforms (Excel, Word, Access) and understanding of TRAX, MyBoeingFleet and Airbus World Have exceptional prioritisation, organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish strong personal working relationships Be a highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure Qualified to engineering degree level (BEng) or be a trained industry engineering professional (Aircraft trade certificate and/or Aircraft Maintenance License holder) Process driven, with experience in constructing new processes to deliver business goals Your life at Jetstar is unlike any other Live the travel dream: You and your nominated travel companions can takeoff more with our famous Qantas Group Staff Travel discount.
