About your opportunity:
Permanent part-time / 25.5 hours per fortnight / Location: INGHAM
The Administration Officer (Admissions Billing) will:
1. Provide professional support and advice to privately insured, compensable and/or ineligible patients, ensuring that patients are provided with the best advice to enable them to make an informed choice on their inpatient stay.
2. Ensure timely and accurate billing of patients for inpatient stay and thorough compliance to documentation policies.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
3. Excellent communication oral and written skills with the ability to interact professionally and sensitively with all levels of staff, patients, and general public.
4. Proficiency in the application of computer software for word processing, spread sheeting and internal hospital information systems.
5. Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively to ensure the best possible service outcomes whilst managing your own workload including the planning and prioritising of tasks to meet deadlines.
6. Maintain discretion and exercise judgment where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
7. Demonstrate strong work ethics, with a proven ability to work effectively, autonomously and provide ethical decision making in the achievement of department and organisational goals.
8. Contribute to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, support and assisting colleagues in a proactive manner.

10. Salary range of $37.68 to $41.90 p.h. (AO3)
