This is a part-time (0.5EFT) permanent position for a Psychology Technical Specialist (Grade 4) with the Monash Health Gender Clinic. The position is based at the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda with travel required to other Monash sites in South Eastern Melbourne. About The Role The Technical Specialist has an expert understanding of gender incongruence and co-occurring mental health conditions. Clinically, you will provide specialist assessments for youth and adult clients (16 years and over) experiencing gender incongruence according to the WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) Standards of Care, and contribute to client management plans as a senior member of a multidisciplinary team. You will provide supervision and oversee the supervisory structure for Gender Clinic psychologists, actively developing competencies in these areas. You will provide clinical education to other areas of Monash Health, and external health services as required. Reasonably flexible working hours and arrangements are accommodated. About You You identify as an ally or member of the LGBTQI+ community. Experience working with the gender diverse community is required, and experience with clients who have a history of trauma or neurodivergence is desirable. Leadership experience working in mental health settings is also highly desirable. You will support and be supported by our multidisciplinary team in the delivery of pragmatic, client-centred care. Your ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences is essential, along with excellent time-management. You are adaptive in your day-to-day work, and innovative with regard to service delivery within public health. What you need: Current general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA Hold AHPRA endorsement in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Forensic Psychology A minimum of eight years' experience as a Clinical, Forensic or Clinical Neuropsychologist Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) approved supervisor for Registrar Supervision (primary and secondary) and Higher Degree supervision Monash Health will offer: salary packaging friendly and supportive culture ongoing supervision and professional development.
