As a valued member of the team, you will find yourself working alongside supportive Accredited Immigration Law Specialists and team members, as you provide legal advice on immigration law matters to a diverse client base on a broad range of interesting matters. Being a multi-cultural and multilingual team, we are committed to finding the most effective immigration pathways for our clients. Our practitioners in the Immigration Law team also lecture in one of Australia's leading Migration programs and have been involved in educating students of Australian immigration law for over 30 years. Duties and Responsibilities Involvement in all aspects of law within the immigration portfolio. Provision of advice in immigration law to the firm's clients on a variety of matters, including primary applications to review work including both merits and judicial review. Consulting with, advising and managing clients from beginning to end of the visa process, including analysing and determining visa solutions, and preparing and lodging visa applications or review applications as necessary. Undertaking legal research into complex areas of immigration law. Identifying and strategising visa pathways for clients. Drafting submissions. Understanding the firm's clients and focusing on their needs. Meeting all prescribed internal KPIs. Assisting in the delivery of the immigration courses, including being available for duties to attend to this outside of normal business hours, including some weekends. Assisting with the development of the business through marketing activities. Candidates should be willing to assist in other practice areas of the firm. Skills and Experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Proven record to meet deadlines. Proven ability to work autonomously and also the ability to work well in a team environment. Legal research skills. Strong work ethic. Proven ability to work well under pressure.
