As the Professor, Physiotherapy and Head of Discipline, you will be responsible for strategic leadership within the Institute and represent the Discipline internally and with industry and professional bodies to ensure discipline activities are recognised both nationally and/or internationally.Your Responsibilities:Provide academic leadership and managerial decision-making in Physiotherapy.Provide mentorship and support for junior academic staff career development.Provide leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of student retention and success strategies.Manage accreditation and other quality assurance processes for physiotherapy courses.Foster meaningful partnerships with industry, government, and community groups.Lead, develop and maintain an international research profile, contributing to the growth of the Institute through research and teaching.About youTo be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated:An outstanding international scholarly reputation, including an outstanding record of research publications in refereed international journals in Physiotherapy.A reputation as an eminent authority in physiotherapy, with a reputation for leadership at both a national and international level.Experience in establishing, leading and managing research groups.Extensive leadership and management experience, including a strong record of supervising Doctoral students to completion.Strong industry connections with industry, government and community groups in Physiotherapy.Ability to travel between Victorian campuses regularly.All University positions delivering education and/or services to children must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
