About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced ICT Support Technician to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining and improving the school's IT infrastructure while providing technical support to staff and students.
⏳ Working Hours: 38 hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required, in accordance with the applicable award or employment agreement.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for students and staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
* Install, update, and optimize software applications for system efficiency.
* Offer user training and troubleshooting for ICT applications.
* Maintain and troubleshoot the school's network, servers, and cloud-based systems .
* Perform network patching, cabling, and connectivity troubleshooting .
* Oversee system upgrades, CCTV maintenance, and liaise with external IT consultants.
* Manage DNS filtering, cybersecurity policies, and network security .
* Administer and manage Microsoft Office 365 and Active Directory .
* Maintain the school management system (TASS) and Classroom Cloud .
* Assist with website updates and cloud-based applications, including graphic design for banners and images.
* Oversee and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, telephony systems, and peripherals .
* Plan and execute yearly maintenance, hardware upgrades, and system optimizations .
* Manage student laptop deployment, ensuring proper configuration and distribution.
* Operate and manage AV equipment, including projectors, interactive displays, and sound systems for school events.
* Collaborate with school leadership on IT projects and infrastructure improvements .
* Develop a yearly ICT action plan in consultation with the Principal.
* Assist with IT procurement, vendor coordination, and system upgrades .
* Develop and modify Microsoft PowerApps to streamline internal processes.
* Adapt existing programs to meet user and business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Candidates must meet Level 7 requirements, including:
* A degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, OR
* Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields, OR
* An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
