Queensland Ballet (QB) is a vibrant, creative organisation that connects people and dance across Queensland. QB is looking to hire a talented, People professional who can deliver a comprehensive P&C function and ensure all frameworks, policies, programs and practices are contemporary, relevant and best practice.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations and working closely with the leadership team, this hands-on role manages day to day operational HR, and has workforce planning, performing management, IR/ER, L&D and organizational development responsibilities. The role oversees a small engaged team who provide HR administration and payroll services and manage the talent lifecycle from recruitment, onboarding and payroll, through to maintaining employee records and other generalist P&C support.
Partnering with the leadership team to develop and implement effective frameworks, procedures and programs to ensure QB attract, retain, develop and manage a highly engaged and committed work force, is critical to your success. Similarly, developing strong collaborative relationships across the organisation so you are seen as a trusted advisor on all things People is essential.
This role will chair internal Diversity & Inclusion and Child Safety committees, and the organisation’s WELL priorities and WHS functions. It is imperative that you innovate, enhance productivity and use data to provide insights and trends that enable best practice P&C across all areas of Queensland Ballet.
Success requires a true passion for providing innovative P&C advice and solutions. An ability to coach, train, mentor and support not only your team but all stakeholder groups is also critical to success. On a personal level you are tenacious, resilient, proactive, an effective communicator who can influence and build trusting relationships on all levels.
Relevant tertiary qualifications essential.
