YMCA Stanthorpe is seeking an enthusiastic Swimming Lessons Teachers on a Casual Basis to join our team located in Stanthorpe, QLD.
About the role
YMCA Swimming Lessons Teachers are an essential component in the delivery of YMCA aquatic education programs and services. These positions are required to maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of YMCA aquatic programs, educational trends and industry development.
What will my time look like?
* The philosophies of YMCA Aquatic Programs and Services
* The delivery of safe, effective and professional lessons
* Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of teaching swimming and water safety
* Ensuring they are available to undertake every allocated class for a minimum of 12 months
* Delivering the highest level of service to all Learn to Swim members and their families.
Am I a good match?
* AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
* Any Swim Coaching Certifications – will be reviewed
* Current certification for First Aid, CPR, or willingness to obtain
* Currently National Police Check
* Positive notice Blue Card in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000
* Achievement of YMCA’s Safeguarding Children Training Certificate and complete annual refresher training.
* Demonstrated experience in a similar position
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels, approachable manner

Swimming Lessons Teachers supervise and guide all members in their swimming lessons. TO provide a platform of learning how to swim, lifesaving opportunities for anyone who enters the water.
