The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.
As a Senior Spatial Analyst in the Location Services Branch, you will contribute to maintaining and improving the Land Information System Tasmania (LIST).
Key Responsibilities
* Research, develop and maintain web-based, enterprise, and desktop GIS software.
* Manage and deliver secure, contemporary and reliable spatial data products and services to clients.
* Provide specialist technical advice, recommendations and solutions to ensure geospatial infrastructure and systems operate in a highly efficient manner.
* Review and improve business processes and procedures.
* Promote and build spatial literacy by providing training, education and support services to the Department’s clients.
The successful candidate can be located in the Hobart or Launceston office.

Hours per Fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Minimum Qualifications
* A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Spatial Information Services, or a Bachelor of Geospatial Science, relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken.
* Professional IT knowledge gained through satisfactory completion of a course relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken.
