As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will provide 2nd Line Compliance Assurance support, reviewing and assessing that controls are effective enough for ING to meet its compliance obligations. You will provide oversight and challenge to line 1 risk control assessments and conduct deep dive thematic reviews of non-financial risk controls end to end.
You will also be involved in helping to draft report papers for the Exco, Risk and AML committees as well as interacting with senior stakeholders to present key observations and explain the potential impacts / remediations required.

What you’ll do
1. Lead and perform second line quality assurance reviews on various compliance topics such as KYC, Data Privacy, Conduct Compliance related matters for corporate and retail customers.
2. Lead and perform second line monitoring activities aligned to the Compliance Monitoring Plan in order to assess the design and effectiveness of controls.
3. Engage with business stakeholders to present findings, identify and track improvement actions.
4. Support key deliverables across the Monitoring team, including providing oversight across Compliance events and issues, developing reporting/insights, and ad hoc projects as required.
What we’re looking for
1. Experience across control testing, performing an assurance review, and assessing compliance with obligations as well as identifying observations for improvement.
2. 7+ years’ financial services experience. 4 or more years’ experience within risk management, compliance, assurance and/or audit.
3. Relevant knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and industry code obligations as they relate to ING.
4. Ability to articulate and write clear and factually correct review reports.
5. Analytical mindset with the ability to research, interpret and assess compliance with applicable obligations and identify potential issues quickly and coordinate for acceptable outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
