Job Reference: 813385 – Assessment 2030 Your new role Curtin University is seeking a dynamic and skilled Learning Technologist – Assessment 2030 to join our team in a full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed-term position until December 2025.
In this exciting role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of learning at our institution.
To succeed in this position, you should have a strong understanding of educational technology software and tools and familiarity with learning theories, including constructive alignment and assessment design.
Proficiency in specific tools such as Adobe Express, MS Teams, and various GenAI platforms is essential.
Experience in graphic design, brand asset creation and/or videography is also desired.
In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Collaborating closely with the Director to develop, coordinate, and disseminate high quality learning resources for students and staff that address specific gaps and support innovation to thrive.
Ensuring the highest standards of resource creation and/or assessment design and maintaining quality control throughout the educational processes.
Deep expertise and engagement with a range of educational technologies to inform and support training resources and guidance.
Adhering to educational standards and timelines while utilising various educational technologies.
Working closely with academic and Subject Matter Experts to design engaging and interactive learning materials, developing curricula, and evaluating learning outcomes.
Selection Criteria Completion of a relevant degree along with significant relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated leadership in the innovative development of subject and course-level designs through research-informed and/or extensive practice.
Proven experience in curriculum design, with a particular focus on assessment and learning supported by educational technologies.
Extensive and proven expertise in designing innovative higher education courses and units across a range of degree programs supported by educational technologies.
Demonstrated capability and experience in professional and curriculum development with a particular focus on capacity building and resource development.
Demonstrated proficiency in learning management systems and key educational technologies, including Adobe, MS Teams for Education, Echo365 and PebblePad.
Experience and expertise in graphic design and/or videography.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within teams, including in challenging environments.
Demonstrated effective project management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks/projects to achieve project outcomes successfully and on time.
