Roy Morgan Research is currently looking for face to face Field Research Officers to work on a long running, important government Travel study in and around Ipswich.
Once established as a great Field Research Officer, there will be ample opportunities to work on other projects.
We are looking for reliable, self-motivators seeking regular casual work who are available to work at least 2-3 weeks per month, including some weekend work.
This job suits applicants such as uni students, self-employed, semi-retired, and parents working around school hours.
Rosters will be provided one month in advance for your easy planning.
Fieldwork will stop during school holidays and for one week either side.
There is NO selling involved.
You will receive a competitive hourly rate and per kilometre reimbursement when using your car.
The nature of the work on this project:
• Be available to work Weekdays and Weekends
• Weekdays: Flexibility to work around uni, school pick-ups, part-time jobs etc, but must be available to work at least 2 weekday evenings from approx. 3-6pm, Wed-Fri. The rest of your weekday shifts are flexible.
• Weekends: Weekend work is between 9-5, preferably working sometime on both days, 2-3 weekends per month.
• Approach 30 pre-selected addresses per workload in the required timeframe and recruit these households to take part in the study. (After dropping off a pre-approach letter in the previous week).
• Complete a short questionnaire with each household and place travel diaries with household members.
• Make appointments to return to the households and assist in completing the travel diaries.
• Have the ability to learn how to use a tablet and accurately record outcomes of every call on the tablet.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
• Weekend and weekday availability (including 2 required weekday evening 3-6pm shifts)
• A National Police Check - or willing to obtain (we complete and pay for this process)
• A reliable car and current driver’s license
• A mobile phone and email address
• Basic to intermediate understanding of computers, mobile phones or tablets
• Interviewing experience desired but not necessary
• A clean and presentable appearance with a professional and friendly attitude.
