Cyber Security Analyst / Network Technician
We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst / Network Technician based in Canberra. The suitable candidate will:
* Analyse and evaluate security policies and regulatory requirements.
* Undertake Continuous Monitoring activities.
* Perform threat analysis.
* Assist with the remediation and mitigation for detected vulnerabilities.
* Assist with implementing, maintaining, and improving cyber security controls.
* Maintaining various IT security related registers.
* Conduct preliminary investigation and reporting on potential cyber security incidents.
* Report on any vulnerabilities detected or ineffective controls identified.
* Install and configure network equipment.
Required skills and experience:
* Experience with relevant tools and technologies for conducting vulnerability assessments and scans.
* Possesses a good working knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM).
* Must possess a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher security clearance.
* Demonstrable experience working with CISCO, Fortinet or Juniper equipment.
Desirable skills and experience:
* Experience implementing various security plans in line with ISM requirements.
* Previous experience working within Australian Federal Government Organisations.
* NSE, CCNA, CCNE or other networking certificates.
