In this role, you'll:
1. Motivate and guide a tight knit road maintenance team in a non-trades environment.
2. Work collaboratively with your crew to resolve issues and find the best solution to problems that may arise.
3. Contribute to finding solutions to improve productivity during daily team meetings.
4. Manage any conflict between team members or related external stakeholders.
5. Be able to work autonomously with limited supervision and be able to think on your feet to resolve issues.
6. Mentor and lead by example when providing on the job training to team members in accordance with relevant procedures.
7. Ensure safety is front and centre when performing daily activities and all environmental, quality controls are implemented on site.
8. Ensure scheduled maintenance activities are completed within the desired timeframes and within budget in accordance with TfNSW specifications and operating procedures.
9. Work a 9-day fortnight roster
We’re seeking a proactive and organised leader with extended knowledge and experience in a civil construction environment who can provide strong leadership to bring out the best in their team. You will be an excellent communicator with great negotiation and conflict resolution skills. You will have proven ability to follow appropriate safe working procedures and resolve routine problems independently.

You’ll hold the following:
10. Valid White card
11. Traffic Control certification
12. Valid Driver’s licence
Experience operating at a Road Worker Grade 3 or related labouring experience in a civil construction environment, and sound experience using internal reporting systems.
MR truck licence, while not essential, would be advantageous.
You may be required to work outside normal working hours and be prepared to work away as required and live within 100kms of the Goolgowi Depot.
Note: This position is a Full-Time Fixed Term (Limited Duration) with an end date of 23rd of December 2025.
