Job Summary As a Chef at OPA Echuca, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, creating innovative Greek dishes, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff, manage inventory, and maintain a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities Develop and design seasonal menus that highlight Greek cuisine. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food preparation. Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen. Control food costs and manage inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies. Collaborate with management on culinary trends and guest feedback to enhance the dining experience. Maintain quality standards in food preparation and presentation. Train staff in cooking techniques and proper food handling practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a Chef / Cook or in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a Greek / Mediterranean cuisine setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. Creative flair with a passion for Greek flavors and dishes. Relevant culinary degree or certification is a plus. Certificate 3 or 4 in commercial cookery. What We Offer Competitive salary.
