Our 115,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.Core Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with local GAAP / IFRS / USGAAP. Prepare all supporting information for internal/tax/statutory annual audits and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee and the internal/external auditors as necessary for timely completion.Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and related commercial processes. Should have sound knowledge on various tools and controls including periodic closing process/order to cash/procurement to pay etc.Lead the development, consolidation, analysis, and reporting of the Plan and RLBEs for the country including financial counsel and guidance to the organization for various business units. In-time delivering corporate level reporting packages per monthly corporate closing timetable. Preparation of variation reports on revenues, pricing, profitability versus financial plans, including understanding of key variances, impact on overall achievement of Plan and RLBE, risks and recommending possible mitigation options.Provide meaningful, value added analytics to influence and counsel senior management on business performance, potential opportunities and/or exposures and give recommendations on the implications for the business.Interpret and execute Abbott global accounting principles and changes. Ensure the effective application of the company's financial control framework to business finances, including risk assessment, performing key control activities, training and testing of controls where applicable.Responsible for ensuring Global Compliance with all applicable customs, antiboycott, embargo, and trade control laws, rules and regulations in countries where Abbott imports or exports goods, software, or technology according to Abbott Code of Conduct. Creates a sustainable infrastructure and environment that enables growth.Work closely with Supply Chain and Regulatory to ensure best inventory level in the country and distributors and no business disruption or distressed inventory.People development and ensure a high performance team.Support ad-hoc projects.Education and Experience required Degree in Finance or Accountancy or related subjects.Minimum 15 years of business controlling experience in multinational, customer-oriented environment (Experience in FP&A is highly advantageous).Excellent analytical/problem solving skills and critical thinking abilities.Strong can-do attitude: Innovative and collaborative with a passion for quality and efficiency.Good interpersonal and communication skills.High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn/leverage on digital tools.Due to the inherent requirements of the role, the preferred candidate must provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination before the commencement date and maintain a fully vaccinated status for the period of employment.
