About The Opportunity Campbelltown Hospital is recruiting for a Career Medical Officer Grade 2 to complement and enhance the current Anaesthetics Department. What You'll be doing Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.Assist in the provision of the Anaesthetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals through medical management, clinical direction to and collaboration with other Anaesthetics and facility staff, as well as clinical care for Anaesthetics.The Career Medical Officer provides high quality experienced clinical service to the Anaesthetics Department. The personal development aim is to develop the skills and knowledge needed to operate independently as an Anaesthetics medical practitioner. This can be achieved through structured and supervised observation of, exposure to, and management of patients, as well as participation in Anaesthetics education and quality assurance activities. Providing supervised perioperative and anaesthetic care to patients in the operating theatres, designated sedation/procedure areas, anaesthetic clinic, and anaesthetic consultation service. Minimum 5 years Anaesthesia experience and previous experience in the critical disciplines of Intensive Care, Anaesthetic or Emergency Medicine. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex clinical environment. Demonstrated excellent clinical skills, clinical judgement and clinical expertise. Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting and in a multidisciplinary health care team. Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/continuing professional development.
