NSW Higher Education InstitutionDarlington Location12 Month ContractPrimary Purpose of the RoleThe Senior Procurement Officer - Deferred Maintenance executes complex sourcing strategies across the Deferred Maintenance program for medium-to-high-value projects. The role will be focused on the Institutes Deferred Maintenance (DM) program which is a high value program of works comprising of multiple projects which are procured through a variety of different streams. The role will manage diverse procurement operations and supplier relationships, focusing on value delivery, and oversee the contract management for projects with a level of complexity.The Senior Procurement Officer - DM works within the Commercial / Contracts and the Deferred Maintenance team and is responsible for providing commercial contract sourcing and contract administration services for the deferred maintenance program. This will include contract drafting, variation letters etc. It will involve partnering with the Institutes procurement team, contributing to sourcing strategies, contract negotiations and contract management. The role is expected to take a proactive approach to supplier management to ensure high performance, and value for money outcomes for DM team. The position will work closely with Procurement, the DM team, including the DM Project Director.Decision Making & Delegations of AuthorityThe Senior Procurement Officer - DM works under broad direction, translating accountabilities into tasks to deliver against goals. They are a subject matter expert, provide sound advice and recommendations to the team, resolve complex matters and escalated issues related to their responsibilities and role.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for overseeing the complete DM project sourcing activities to ensure that the program is compliant with procurement policy and principles and the pipeline of works is delivered on time and on budget.Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies across multiple categories for medium-value and complexity projects.Provide advice to the DM team around contracts, optimal procurement solutions and preferred supplier engagements.Coordinate and manage a range of procurement operations, ensuring governance requirements are met along with the supporting of various modern slavery, indigenous supply and sustainable strategies.Oversee supplier management initiatives, fostering collaborative relationships and ensuring value for money.Ensure contracts, letters of acceptance, work orders etc for projects are drafted and managed, incorporating all negotiated outcomes, scope of work and key performance indicators.Provide commercial and contracting services to DM, partnering with Procurement PSU for contracts >$250K, hands-on sourcing for contracts Coordinate necessary approvals in line with the Institution's Delegation of Authority.Drive initiatives aimed at maturing the procurement services, focusing on strategic sourcing and category management.Engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating discussions to address concerns and gather feedback, ensuring alignment with work area goals.Manage work area reporting and compliance ensuring accurate information on the Institution's systems and adherence to work area requirements.Develop and deliver regular reporting around the sourcing activities / forward program for the DM program for the information of senior leadership.Coordinate and manage risk assessment activities within the work area, prioritising workplace health and safety and ensuring consistent alignment with the Institution's guidelines and best practices.How To ApplyClick APPLY or contact Consultant Gemma Dodrill on ****** for a confidential discussion.www.charterhouse.com.au#J-18808-Ljbffr
