The Role: The APS6 Fraud Investigator will provide expert technical and professional support, addressing complex issues while coordinating strategic planning, program management, and policy development to align with client objectives. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Conduct criminal investigations following Agency and Australian Government standards. Conduct interviews, prepare statements, and manage evidential material. Assist in preparing cases and briefs of evidence for referral to authorities. Represent the Agency in criminal and civil courts. Analysing, processing information and producing accurate and informative reports. Assisting with the execution of search warrants, which may require domestic air travel and working extended hours including overnight stays. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Proficiency in statement taking and interviewing techniques. Experience in preparing briefs of evidence. Ability to develop and implement investigation plans. Strong risk management capabilities. A background in traditional law enforcement. Certificate IV in Government Investigations.
