The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of enabling services and operations delivery to the department and to Australian businesses and are seeking experienced and motivated Delivery Managers to assist with major ICT Projects in the Division. The National Measurement Institute (NMI) is the Australian Government's national measurement authority. We play an important role in the Australian economy. NMI does this by leading, maintaining and regulating Australia's measurement system. LIMS Simplification Project NMI has commenced a project to implement a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). CIO Division is working in partnership with NMI to deliver this project. The LIMS Simplification Project is a collaborative project involving stakeholders from across different branches of NMI and the Department. The aims of the project are to: Provide a unified foundation for NMI's chemical and biological laboratories; Reduce risks related to the maintenance and security of ICT systems; Improve process efficiency and service delivery; Improve client satisfaction. As the LIMS Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for: Monitor and track project progress, ensuring alignment with delivery timelines and objectives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, external vendors, and other project staff. Maintain detailed plans, schedules, and logs for risks, issues, and changes. Facilitate regular stand-ups, status meetings, and working sessions to resolve blockers. Draft project reports and other project artefacts and deliverables for review by the Project Manager. Assist in preparing stakeholder presentations and updates. Support resource allocation by liaising with team leads. Track vendor deliverables, monitor contract compliance, and escalate issues when necessary. Act as a point of contact for routine communications with vendors and suppliers. Assist in deployment planning, readiness checks, and documentation. Monitor project risks and issues, documenting, and escalating medium to high-priority concerns. Follow up on risk mitigation actions and update risk and issue logs accordingly. Organise team training, onboarding sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities. Requirements Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional agile project teams delivering critical and complex programs of work. Highly developed communication and negotiation skills to ensure the appropriate level of communication, coordination, and collaboration of stakeholders. Proven ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, which may include business partners, cross-agency collaborations, and service providers. Experience with and application of project management frameworks/methodologies (such as Agile and Hybrid Agile, Prince2, PMP, etc.). Certification in these methodologies is highly desirable.
