This is the chance to join right as the takes off. More About the Role at Notion About The Role: This role is to lead Notion’s external communications across APAC based in our growing Sydney office. This role’s APAC remit will include Australia, Singapore, Japan and South Korea and will be supported by local communication agencies in each country who are already in place. This role will work in partnership with the global communications team at Notion to ensure we have a consistent brand and message globally. This role will also work closely with the APAC marketing team, ensuring local relevance and support for regional business goals. We are looking for someone who has APAC-wide experience in external communications, has partnered successfully with agencies, and has come from the tech industry, a huge bonus if you are a Notion user _This is a contractor role. Which starts as a 3 month contract with the potential to extend to 12 months and beyond._ What You'll Achieve: - Develop the APAC Communications strategy in partnership with local marketing leads and the global marketing team. This strategy will span B2B, B2C and product/corporate communications. - Manage 3 communication agencies in APAC - Japan, South Korea & ANZ/Singapore. - In partnership with our regional agencies, work with local media to educate them about Notion and secure coverage about the company and product. - In partnership with our regional agencies, monitor key topics in regional media, manage issues and inbound press queries, and provide strategic counsel to cross-functional teams. - Work closely with APAC and global spokespeople to develop thought leadership and amplify through press and speaking engagements. - Develop market-specific narratives for Notion to use in external-facing communications. - Develop customer stories, both written and video with our English-speaking APAC customers. - Report back on activities to global and local stakeholders and teams. Skills You'll Need to Bring: - 5 years of experience in marketing communications, preferably in agency and in-house roles. - Have previous experience working with global teams. - Have previous experience working across APAC including Australia, Singapore, Japan and South Korea. - Ability to build strong partnerships with local agencies and cross-functional stakeholders. - A builder and business mindset. Nice to Haves: - Be a Notion power user and are already an advocate for the tool. - Marketing experience in a the tech/SaaS industry.
