About the Role
This position will provide support and assistance in the setting up and organisation of local, state, national & international events including major performances, sporting events, concerts and other activities. This role will work from a variety of venues and locations across the city including the Townsville Stadium, Riverway Stadium, The Strand, Reid Park and Riverway Parklands. This role will also be responsible for providing customer service to Event Organisers, Sporting Organisations, TCC staff and the public.
The role involves working on events, functions, training and elite sports activities at both Townsville Stadium, Riverway Stadium and the Riverway Parklands. These venues host local, national & international sporting events including One Day International Cricket, Wheelchair State of Origin Rugby League, Townsville Fire WNBL training, AFL, Netball, Futsal, Street Soccer and more.
You will also be involved in events that are run by Council’s Events Townsville team. This team is responsible for delivering citywide events such as Carols by Candlelight, Anzac Day and other incredible outdoor events.
About You
Our ideal applicants will be physically capable of performing manual labour for extended periods of time both indoors and outdoors with basic operational knowledge of simple event technology.
Knowledge and experience working in a customer service environment with basic computer skills is essential.
Good availability is highly desirable.
A driver’s licence is required and a reliable source of transport is preferable due to work attendance at various locations.
