About the role
Our Emergency Department (ED) team at Lenah Valley are looking for Registered Nurses with strong leadership skills and an interest in career progression to apply for a Level 2 Registered Nurse position. The Emergency Department (ED) provides a service for people with illness or injury 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ED treats approximately 11,000 people per year.
It is a fast-paced and energetic environment, and there are opportunities for staff to be involved in a variety of projects.
Your main duties will include:
o Promotes and participates in team building and decision-making.
o Subscribes to personal/professional development and facilitates the personal/professional development of others.
o Initiates and implements quality nursing care informed by best practice.
o Provides advanced clinical care to patients.
o Uses effective communication skills when interacting with patients, significant others, and other health professionals. Acts as a client advocate, collaborating to achieve optimum health outcomes.
o Involved in department progression including quality initiatives.
What you bring
o Current AHPRA Registration and relevant tertiary Nursing qualifications.
o Working with Children check/Working with Vulnerable People Check.
o Emergency nursing experience including advanced clinical and problem-solving skills.
o Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
o Demonstrates effective leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
o Sound clinical decision making and problem solving.
o Intermediate computer skills.
o A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
