About the Role:
This is a 7-month maternity leave opportunity.
Join Australia’s National Broadband Network (nbn) as a Community Engagement Specialist and be part of an exciting 7-month maternity leave opportunity to help bridge the digital divide across regional Australia.
In this hands-on role, you’ll work alongside the Regional Community Engagement Manager to identify key engagement opportunities and connect with communities, driving awareness of nbn’s impact.
What You’ll Do
* Build strong relationships with local community groups, supporting education sessions and events that enhance digital skills and connect communities.
* Collaborate with nbn teams to deliver impactful community programs and ensure an integrated engagement approach.
* Analyse, review, and report on engagement initiatives to maximize program success and reach.
* In-field position with regular travel, giving you a chance to explore diverse local communities while making a real difference!
About You:
* You excel at connecting with local communities and have the skills to plan, coordinate, and drive successful projects.
* Passionate about helping people and making a difference in regional areas, you bring experience working with remote businesses and communities, earning their trust with ease.
* Confident presenter and communicator with a talent for building strong, lasting relationships.
* Full Australian Driver’s License and ready to travel, ideally you will be located regionally in the Central QLD region in areas such as Mackay, Rockhampton, Longreach, Bowen.
