Additional Information:
This role is permanent part-time, 60hrs/fortnight.
As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As an IKEA Cook your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with food standards by keeping it clean and organised.
Food preparation and cooking with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
Inspecting food items for quality freshness
Take corrective actions to ensure consistency when cooking food.
Prioritising strict cooking timelines and multi-tasking under pressure during rush hours.
As an IKEA Food Co-worker you are:
Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people.
Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
Previous commercial cooking experience is highly valued.
