Talent Quarter are delighted to be supporting our established client in Perth to recruit for an experienced Paediatric Psychologist on a permanent basis.
The company
The aim of the organisation is to provide the highest quality services to their paediatric and adolescent client, from the age of 0 – 18 years, and their families. They offer effective support that enhances children's social, language, physical, emotional and behavioural development and learning.
This is done through their multi-disciplinary team which includes Psychologists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Behaviour Therapists.
The role
Your role as Paediatric Psychologist, will involve planning and delivering psychological interventions to your clients to improve their social, emotional, learning and behavioural outcomes. Your caseload will be a mix of private practice and NDIS clients.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Assessing clients and developing intervention plans
* Monitor client progress
* Maintaining and updating client records
* Participation in case conferences, as required
* Liaising with external agencies and other consultants when required
* Providing all services in an ethical and accountable manner
* Other ad-hoc psychologist duties as required
About you
In order to be considered for the Paediatric Psychologist role, you will have a Degree in Psychology, hold a current AHPRA registration and will have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice.
You will also possess:
* A demonstrated thorough and current knowledge of evidence-based practice which is applicable to children and adolescents
* Skills and experience in psychological assessment and intervention relevant to children and adolescents
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* A calm demeanor and the ability to remain calm, focused and maintain perspective when faced with crisis, change or difficulty
* Satisfactory National Police Clearance
* Current Drivers Licence
* Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check
* Up-to-date vaccinations with certificate, or hold an exemption
* Have the right to work in Australia
