Mills&Co is on the hunt for a Business Development Executive to join our fast growing team. In the role you’ll be given market leading sales training and have the opportunity to work with the leading agencies and technology companies across Australia and the wider APAC region.
As we scale, there will be an expectation that we work as a team from a centrally located, Sydney based office. Mills&Co’s definition of flexible working is that the default expectation is we work together from an office but we don’t want work to get in the way of our personal lives. We trust our team to manage their own work / life balance as needed.
Package - salary, bonus and commission.

What does a Mills&Co Business Development Executive do?
You’ll build up to work on multiple client accounts. Using the latest lead generation technology and platforms, you’ll research and build out lists of prospects that align to our clients ICP briefs.
You’ll be responsible for sparking new business conversations, pitching client services, driving registrations to bespoke events (that Mills&Co produce) and booking meetings with prospective clients through a mix of prospecting channels including social selling (LinkedIn), phone outreach and sending personalised emails.
What does the day to day look like?
* Client facing - you'll have direct contact with clients updating them on lead generation activity and coordinating meetings.
* Generate new business opportunities through driving attendees to client webinars & events via LinkedIn, phone and email and booking introductory meetings.
* Generate new leads from cold by leveraging research and market insights, content, events and trends to spark conversations.
* Attend client events (produced by Mills&Co).
* Build bespoke prospect target lists on the latest lead generation technology and platforms of people who fit the ICP profiles our clients want to target. This involves building advanced searches and evaluating profiles to determine whether someone fits the brief and then organising the leads into different lists and segments.
* You’ll use a mix of phone, email, direct messaging and automation to reach out and invite prospects to events, share reports and content and arrange meetings to discuss new business opportunities.
* Schedule meetings or demonstrations for clients with prospects who might be interested in our client’s products or services.
* Undertake general account management responsibilities such as compiling reporting documents and ensuring your client has all the information about the leads you generate.
* Update and maintain the client’s CRM system.
Requirements
* 0.5 - 1.5 years experience in a sales / customer service role.
* You must be a people-person.
* You must enjoy talking / pitching on the phone.
* You must enjoy making phone calls.
* Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
* Goal oriented.
* High attention to detail.
* A team player.
KPI’s
* Monthly lead generation targets based on a set number of meetings booked and attended and/or event registration sign ups.
* Daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s around activity depending on the particular client KPIs.
