Your New Opportunity
We are searching for a Senior Consultant or Manager to join ourProjects & Infrastructure Advisory team in Cairns. Working on projects across Queensland and broader NorthernAustralia, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverserange of engagements including commercial assessments, businesscases and feasibility studies, economic development initiatives andproject delivery assignments.
You will be joining a team of forward-thinking professionalscoming from a range of diverse backgrounds and will have theopportunity to work with some of the most influential and talentedleaders in the industry. You will also have opportunity to traveland work with other BDO project teams across the country.
While every day and project is different, your primaryresponsibilities will include:
* Leading or working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver project and infrastructure advisory engagements and/or project/program management services;
* Managing the delivery of engagements including the preparation and management of project plans, budgets, schedule, risks, progress reporting and invoicing;
* Opportunities to undertake or learn business development activities including engaging with current and potential future clients and tracking potential engagement opportunities;
* Developing and implementing engagement pursuit strategies, proposals and tender management processes;
* Contributing to team growth strategies and sector prioritisation initiatives;
* Maintaining strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders and partners and industry representatives;
* Contributing to team planning and development including coaching and mentoring of junior staff;
* Any other business development, project delivery and team management activities as required to support the efficient management of the team.
What You'll Bring
You'll have professional qualifications in either finance, law,commerce, engineering and/ or economics. Additionally, demonstratedexperience in project/ program management, business cases andfeasibility study preparation and/or economics will be highlyvalued but is not essential.
Importantly, you will bring:
* Demonstrated experience working within multi-disciplinary teams ideally in the delivery of complex infrastructure or development projects;
* An ability to critically evaluate a concept or project and communicate the outcomes in a coherent manner;
* Well-developed report writing and presentation skills;
* Experience managing projects, including budget and schedule development and resource planning;
* Effective engagement and stakeholder management skills.
