About Us: The team manages the planning and delivery of maintenance and related programs for schools, early childhood education and care centres and staff housing.We are committed to continuous improvement through the various maintenance related functions and of our policies and processes and the professional development of team members, which will ultimately enable us to provide an optimal service to our clients.About the Role: As the Senior Facilities Services Officer, you will have responsibility for, but not limited to, the following: Manage maintenance programs to ensure programs are delivered on time and on budget.Monitor, evaluate and report on the progress of programs.Review, develop and implement policies and procedures for the improvement of infrastructure programs.Develop and foster partnerships with internal and external clients and service providers including QBuild, Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works, the major maintenance service provider for the department.Provide high level support and advice on the management of maintenance programs.Contribute to a positive team culture which emphasises learning and development, innovation and inclusiveness.Prepare Ministerial, Parliamentary and corporate correspondence and regular reports on the progress of maintenance programs.Provide professional input into continuous improvement activities to ensure the development and promotion of best practices.Assist in developing and implementing policies, guidelines and procedures regarding related infrastructure, planning, asset management or project activities.About You: You're a team player - you are able to demonstrate how you can lead activities and support others to achieve the end goal.You're conscientious - you pay attention to detail, display drive for continuous business efficiencies and improvements; and are committed to meeting timeframes and customer service standards.You're motivated - you understand contemporary infrastructure and asset management principles and practices and have confident communication skills to provide professional advice relevant to the tasks at hand across a variety of audiences.Although not mandatory, prior industry experience in public service or working with infrastructure is beneficial.Additional experience in program management, SAP systems and data analysis will be advantageous.Interested?
