About The Role
Grampians Health Ballarat is seeking a dedicated and organised Ward Clerk to support the Maternity Birth Suite & Postnatal Unit. This unit includes 16 inpatient beds, 3-5 birthing suites, and a Pregnancy Assessment Unit (PAS), with a Level 4 Special Care Nursery.
This role includes weekend shifts, working two 6-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. As a key member of the maternity team, you will provide frontline reception, clerical, and administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide frontline reception and administrative support to the maternity unitEnsure timely and accurate patient admissions, discharges, and paperworkAssist the Nurse Unit Manager with patient flow and access processesMaintain accurate data entry and reporting for maternity unit systemsSupport a customer-focused and professional environmentSkills & Experience
Proficient in Excel, Publisher, and WordHigh-level computer skills and willingness to learn maternity software (BOS, AIR, Texting)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and within a multidisciplinary teamInterested?
