Job Title: Traffic and Transport Engineer
Melton City Council is seeking a skilled Traffic and Transport Engineer to join the Engineering and Asset Services team.
You will be responsible for reviewing traffic management plans, investigating customer enquiries, and conducting traffic and transport investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and liaise with developers in the implementation and approval of traffic management plans to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow on local roads.
* Review designs and ensure that all projects comply with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
* Conduct traffic assessments to identify hazards and recommend improvements to enhance road safety for all users.
* Respond to customer actions requests on traffic related issues.
About You:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, which would qualify the applicant for membership of the Institute of Engineers of Australia.
* Relevant experience in Traffic Engineering.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Road Management Act, Local Government Act, and OH&S Act.

Selection Criteria:
* You must have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
* You must have relevant experience in Traffic Engineering.
* You must have knowledge of relevant legislation including the Road Management Act, Local Government Act, and OH&S Act.
