The Engineering and Technology (E&T) branch is seeking a skilled Manager - Supplier & Surveillance to oversee and manage the Construction Materials Testing Supplier Registration System (CMTSRS). This system is crucial for providing comprehensive insights into material quality risks across Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects through audit and surveillance activities. Our commitment to excellence ensures the success and integrity of TMR initiatives.
In this role, you will lead the development of policies, systems, manuals and standards for the CMTSRS, supporting strategies to mitigate risks associated with procuring road materials and products for TMR's infrastructure program. You will also lead surveillance efforts within the department, ensuring robust oversight of material quality.
You will provide independent, specialist advice on CMTSRS to senior management, regional offices, industry stakeholders, and external clients. Your expertise will help develop program-level strategies to achieve technical governance outcomes, manage risks, and ensure value for money. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of a statewide surveillance program for TMR projects across Queensland, identifying and managing risks to ensure consistent and reliable test results from material testing suppliers.

Mandatory Requirements:
• No mandatory qualification required however possession of an Advanced Diploma of Laboratory Operations or an Associate Degree in Engineering (Civil) or acceptable equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution would be highly desirable.
